We are Mathieu and Raissa . Welcome to the Seasoning house  - our restaurant, our culture, our family! 

Born and raised in Abidjan, a coastal city in Côte D'Ivoire (the Ivory Coast, a small country in West Africa), we first 

moved to Jamaica, Queens, open a restaurant in Pittsfield Mass then relocated in Troy NY.

We combine our passion for African spices and the recipes handed down by our grandparents with the freshest ingredients available sourced through local farmers' markets and suppliers to bring you a truly unique culinary experience we hope you will enjoy and share with friends and family for many years to come! 

My wife, Raissa, is Executive Chef and the  secret sauce to our success creating her unique fusion of West African-American flavors. She prepares each dish with passion, joy, and love.

We refuse to compromise on quality. That's why we source the freshest ingredients possible directly from local farmers' markets and even have some of our spices flown in directly from the Ivory Coast! No matter what time of year, you can be sure you're eating the best of the season.

We love seeing our customers, so feel free to make a reservation or just stop by for a home cooked meal. We're open every Monday to Saturday!

If you prefer to eat at home, we package each dish in a way that lets you bring the quality and flavor of our meals to your family's table.
